What Career Healthcare Missionaries should know about BMDF:
A very important part of the mission of Baptist Medical Dental Fellowship (BMDF) is supporting the ministries of long term Baptist healthcare missionaries. Specifically, BMDF provides:

Free BMDF membership for all appointed Baptist healthcare missionaries. This includes all healthcare disciplines. Being a member allows you to receive newsletters and be fully immersed in the networking and information stream that flows through BMDF. We also can pray for you regularly through our Prayer Partnership.
- Payment of expenses to attend the BMDF annual meeting. This applies if you are in the States during the time when the meeting occurs. BMDF always has difficulties discovering who will be stateside and when. Please let us know if you will be able to attend an upcoming meeting. We make a special effort to allow your use of the meeting as a platform for “telling the story” of healthcare missions. Contact the BMDF office for further details.
- Assistance with recruiting teams of volunteers to serve alongside you in ministry on the field. Contact the BMDF office for more.
- Funds to subsidize your attendance at the CMDA International CME Conference held alternately in Kenya and Thailand. Physicians, dentists and their spouses are eligible for reimbursement of registration, travel, housing, and meal expenses to attend the conference nearest to their region of service. Email us for details.
- Funds to subsidize ongoing Continuing Education expenses on the field for things such as journal subscriptions, online CE courses, etc. Each appointed dentist or physician missionary is eligible for reimbursement of up to $250 in each four year period. Email the BMDF office for more information.
