Thanksgiving is always a great time to spend time with family, but lest we forget, it is also one of those “built in” times when we pause and thank our Creator for all He has been doing in our lives over the past several months.
What are you thankful for today? Here are just a few things I have been thanking our Lord for this Thanksgiving Season.
1. Through the generosity of our members and donors, we have been able to provide scholarships to 26 Healthcare students this year to go on mission trips.
2. BMDF was able to help 13 IMB Missionaries attend the overseas Continuing Education conference in 2025.
3. With God’s blessing, our 2025 BMDF sponsored trip to Cusco, Peru this year saw 21participants hold 5.5 days of clinics in which they saw approximately 1250 patients, provided over 2800 pkgs of medications, and saw 70 people profess Jesus as Savior.
4. This year has seen many changes in my Personal life. These include the loss of my wife’s(Bev) mother, the selling of our home, the purchasing of a new home, moving, a lot of traveling to represent BMDF, and a major health issue for Bev. I am truly thankful for friends, church family, BMDF family, and many others who saw us through those trying times and helped us to navigate those times well. But even more so, I have felt Jesus every step of the way. Thanks to each of you who enriched our lives and that of this organization during the past year.
As we look forward to the upcoming Christmas holidays, I would like to take this opportunity to remind each of you that “Giving Tuesday” will be on Tuesday, December 2. Many non-profits seek support from their donor base during this time. Many of you will be looking for areas of ministry in which you can donate. Would you consider Baptist Medical Dental Fellowship this year. As I noted previously, it is through your generosity, membership, and donations that God has provided a record year in our being able to walk alongside those healthcare students, those healthcare missionaries needing CME credits while serving overseas, and our projects such as our support of CMA Ukraine partners and for allowing BMDF to help Your Mission Matters by providing $4000 toward the purchase of two dental chairs for their mission center in Peru.
As you spend time celebrating this Thanksgiving Season, please pause and think on the ways that you have been blessed through the past year. I am so thankful to have each one of you as apart of my life.

- Our Annual meeting is April 17-18, 2026 at Frontline Church, Downtown, Oklahoma City. Please plan to join us. Watch our website in January for Registration details.
- The IMB Med Advance meeting is August 13-15, 2026 at Idlewild Baptist Church, Lutz, FL
- The Baptist Nursing Fellowship Summit meeting is in Huntsville, AL on October 16-18, 2026.
- Lastly, we are planning on two BMDF sponsored Mission Trips in 2026. We know that one of the trips will be either the second week or the third week of October. That will be to Cusco, Peru to work with Your Mission Matters. The cost will be approximately $2700 per person. We will post more early next year.
